I don't know why the mod was developed to emit sounds multiple times. There should definitely be an option (cvar) to set how many times sounds are emitted.

A consensus had never really been reached on how many EmitSounds there should be, so I've kept it as is for now.

I'd prefer if there wasn't a cvar, but we'll see.

I still do not understand why sounds are emitted multiple times. If you have to play them twice to make them louder then something is wrong with these sounds.

^ I've edited my private VSH to only emit once and then I went and fixed the quiet SFX with MP3Gain.

Eventually it'll go in the public.

There were reasons it's put on SNDCHAN_ITEM and VOICE at the same time, but I've reworked it without those and the difference is hardly noticeable to anyone except me since I know what I was trying to fix about it.
