Pickup Notification causes JEI plus button to disappear

Issue: If Pickup Notification is turned on (B:"[01] Pickup Notification Toggle"=true), the plus button in JEI to automatically add ingredients to a recipe disappears unless you're in a crafting table. So it makes shapeless crafting in your inventory, for example, more annoying.
