To do this a micro controller with a timer that can output 6 step complementary pwm is required, such as a stm32f103c8,esp32 afaik cannot do this, plus you need to also connect the hall sensor to your external micro A set of new board that have mm32spin05 is only $3.5 which is almost the same as two new micro controller so why not get one of those |

Ok,esp32 does seems to have MCPWM that can drive the motor, so you can use one to replace the original micro |

If you used a esp32 you can probably get simple foc to work which no gen2 have done yet(hopefully my firmware will support it eventually) |

Hi. I want to make a robot using the hoverboard motors & controllers. My board can't get a firmware by now and I don't want to buy two esc controllers, I want to use the controllers already on the hoverboard. So... I want to bypass the microcontroller and input signal from a laptop (or maybe an ESP32?). Any ideas? In the photo schematic attached I want to enter where the red arrows are and make the motor spin. Thanks. Hope this is not off topic, new on GitHub.
