Rhino_Rand_Layer_Color

Random Layer Colorizer Script

Overview:

The Random Layer Colorizer Script is a Python script designed for Rhino users to automatically assign random colors to layers within their drawings. This script enhances the readability and organization of complex designs, making it easier to navigate and manage various elements within a project.

Features:

  • Automatic Color Assignment: Quickly assigns random colors to all layers in a Rhino drawing with a single command.
  • Enhanced Visualization: Improves visualization by providing distinct and contrasting colors to differentiate between layers.
  • Improved Workflow Efficiency: Streamlines project organization by eliminating the manual task of assigning colors to layers individually.
  • Compatible with Inserted PDFs: Particularly useful for files containing inserted finished PDFs, where layer organization can become convoluted.

How to Use:

  1. Download the script from the repository.
  2. Open Rhino and navigate to the scripting interface.
  3. Load the script and execute it within the Rhino environment.
  4. Wait for the script to finish running.
  5. Select all your drawings and go to the properties ballet and assign all objects to be colored by layer color

Compatibility:

  • This script is compatible with Rhino 7 and above.
  • It is designed to work on Windows operating systems.
