Proposed solution

It would be great if you could add in the private DNS settings the functionality of caching DNS requests. This would save some requests, as NextDNS does.

From what I understand Next DNS uses a TTL setting to do this.
It is already implemented in AdGuard DNS on the server settings page

Why is it that with NextDNS at the end of the month I come up with 150,000 queries while with AdGuard I come close to 300,000?

Only for Blocked Requests not unblocked requests

@spotter226 That thread already explained that for quota purpose in NextDNS, A & AAAA queries for the same domain that was made in quick succession only count as one query.
