A lot of times when setting a spell effect id I am simply taking an existing effect id and pasting it into the input. However, whenever you focus-in the input the popout opens. This popout can (still) cause significant lag, and more often than not, I don't need to find an effect, I already have the id I want.

Also, today has been a heavy spell creation day for me, and my tab in-which I am editing spells has "died" a few times.

As such, my suggestion (have a button that opens the popout instead of always opening):
