I'm using this plugin to expedite some of the work I would have to write the code to understand the barcode, but I'll need to make a series of changes (in addition to the current possible modifications) such as the option to take a picture, insert the option to a larger area to scan and I wonder if it is in the interest of these changes maintainers (@AmolGangadhare and others) told that things are somewhat specific. If there is an interest, I can open a fork and eventually a pull request in the plugin.
