Extension or Userscript?

Both

Request or suggest a new feature!

Add an option that allows you to use a custom colour theme, where you can specify the colour that the like or dislike button displays.

For a example of why this feature should be implemented, here is a gruvbox theme made with a userstyle called "Youtube Themer 4U" (with a fira mono option added afterwards):

As you may see from the screenshot, the colour theme used in Return Youtube Dislike doesn't quite fit in with the other elements, similiar to the icon beside the unrelated "Download" button.

This problem can easily be solved with a ability to define custom colours for the like and dislike buttons, and then pasting the gruvbox colours from here:

Ways to implement this!

In the "Color theme" option in the settings, you can add another dropdown option that represents a custom colour theme. Clicking the option will make the colours beside the dropdown clickable, and changable. You can also add a notice informing that the colours are now changable.

Note that the screenshot uses the American English version of colour to appear more realistic to what the option might look like in the final version.

Can you work on this?

  • Yes
  • No

Will you be available for follow-up questions to help developers implement this?

Yes
