appdcontroller init script incorrectly shows watchdog down

• /etc/init.d/appdcontroller status​ showed watchdog not running even though it was shown to be running via ps -ef | grep watchdog​ and by examining watchdog.log​
• Ran cat /opt/appdynamics/controller/HA/version​
  • Noted version 3.40

Other installation notes:

• Init scripts installed
• NOROOT installation and the AppD runtime user is not allowed any sort of privilege escalation.

the HA toolkit pretty much depends on HA/appd_watchdog.pid to exist in order for this function to work. trying to get a repro on this without knowing the state of that pid file at the site will be hard.
for future reference, running the init script with bash -x would help a lot.
