Submit scientific names and get back trait information

As a data user or digital researcher
I want to be able to submit a list of scientific names in machine readable format and get all trait data available for those taxa as a file
So that I don’t have to click through a graphical interface to get the data

This is basically a shortcut for those who prefer to script their data query. This would probably be most useful where the data is changing/updating frequently, it will likely be some time before this is the case.

Need to know how the data will be assembled. Assuming something like:

Steps:

• User selects/supplies scientific names
• Get guids for scientific names
• return lists including those scientific names
• filter for trait lists
• format for traits by taxa

Likely to be an extension to the existng species list for species API, rather than a new one.

Include ability to filter by list name? Want to be able to just get traits from a specified list or lists.
