Delete Cache button on Admin Bar not working #25594
Comments
I don't have a LiteSpeed server to test that. To confirm, Delete Cache on a single page should only delete the cache for that page, not the entire cache. You're having it fail to delete the single page cache? |
Confirmed. Single page cache not deleted. Here's the sequence of events:
I've just done this and the two timestamps are identical. I thought this might be related to the setting "Don’t cache pages for known users", so I disabled it. This made the "delete cache" disappear from the admin bar. It also refreshed the page's cache when I reloaded the page. When I turned "Don’t cache pages for known users" back on and deleted the cached, the timestamp remained unchanged. The option "Make known users anonymous" serves a page without the footer comment and timestamp in both windows, after refreshing the cache (I know because the timestamp was different after I disabled it and checked again). I hope this is helpful.. |
Nothing? |
Over 800 sites and the "Delete cache" button in the WP Admin top bar never shown due to a bug. |
+1 |
Do you still experience issues with this? Thank you! |
Honestly, I don't use WP Super Cache anymore, so couldn't tell you. @marcomarsala or @artursopelnik ? Why is this in the Jetpack forum? |
👍
We've recently moved WP Super Cache to the Jetpack monorepo, where it can live with other Automattic plugins, and benefit from the tooling we've developed in this monorepo to automate things like plugin updates, issue management, ... |
I have WP Super Cache installed on a good number of sites and it seems that clicking "delete cache" in the admin bar while on a page has no effect. There are some mentions of this issue on the plugin's support forum on wordpress.org, including some very old ones, but for me, it's a new issue.
If it makes a difference, I use iThemes Security (with .htaccess and wp-config.php made read-only), and my sites are on a LiteSpeed server, not Apache.
