Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://wordpress.com/post
  2. Copy the following example domain: www.google.com
  3. Add some text, select a word, and paste the domain copied in the previous step

Result: I expected the selected text to become a link, but the text is replaced with www.google.com instead.
