BI Developer Extensions 2.3.0

This release is not the latest

This release updates BI Developer Extensions for Visual Studio 2017 to be compatible with the latest version of SSDT (15.9.0 SSDT installer, 2.8.11 SSAS extension, 2.5.6 SSRS extension, and 2.2 SSIS extension). There are a few other fixes.

This release in GitHub is intended to mark the version of code used to build the release.

BI Developer Extensions 2.2.1

This release of BI Developer Extensions for Visual Studio 2017 is not the latest. It is compatible with an older version of SSDT (15.8.2) or earlier.

The "BI.Developer.Extensions.2.2.1.for.VS2017.vsix" download is not recommended since it is not the latest. It is made available in case you need to install a historical version of BI Developer Extensions with an older SSDT. To prevent auto upgrade to the latest version, disable "automatically upgrade this extension" in Tools... Extensions and Updates.

BIDSHelper 1.7.0

This is a copy of the final release from the old codeplex site where this project was initially hosted

It contains installers for the old add-in version of BIDSHelper that works with SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008R2.

For versions SQL 2012 or later we recommend using Visual Studio 2015 or later and installing "BI Developer Extensions" from the Visual Studio Marketplace since this version of SSDT is backwards compatible to SQL 2012.

The exe downloads are a self extracting installer, the zip downloads allow for an xcopy deploy which does not require administrator permissions. Make sure to note the updated xcopy deploy instructions for SQL Server 2012 and 2014.
