GUI: ROM
This panel allows you to control the various options related to ROMs that Amiberry will use.
-
Main ROM File: The main Kickstart ROM file used for the emulated system. Usually you want a Kickstart 1.3 for A500 emulation, and 3.0/3.1 for A1200. Depending on the model of Amiga you're emulating there will usually be a different version of the kickstart ROM, since it also contains support for the different hardware. The list of Kickstart ROMs is automatically populated here, if they are detected and recognized (based on their checksum values) from the configured Kickstarts directory. But you can of course also choose a file manually, if you want.
-
Extended ROM File: Not needed most of the time, but here you can use any "Extended" ROM file that some hardware used. Some examples are CDTV and CD32 hardware.
-
Cartridge ROM File: Some expansion hardware would come in cartridge form, and contained a ROM. Here you can select such ROMs, if you want to use them (note that you still need the actual ROMs as files in the Kickstarts directory to see them here). Examples are the Action Replace, the CD32 FMV etc.
-
Advanced UAE Expansion board/Boot ROM: This allows you to select the options regarding the emulator's custom expansion ROM, which contains various devices/libraries presented to the system (such as bsdsocket.library, or the uae*.devices).
-
Shapeshifter support: This enables support for Shapeshifter in the ROM, which would normally require a special tool running on startup (and triggering a reboot).
