Work Environment

Question Answer
OS version (server) Ubuntu
OS version (client) Ubuntu
TheHive version / git hash 2.10.0
Package Type Binary

Problem Description

While TheHive can connect to several Cortex instances, it does not display:

  • the version number of each Cortex installation it is connected to (as privately reported by @ant1),
  • their names or some unique qualifier to be able to distinguish among them,
  • their status (available/down).

This is desirable to help troubleshoot potential analyzer/connectivity problems.

Possible Solutions

Display:

  1. the number of connected Cortex instances TheHive is connected to and their status (live/dead),
  2. metadata about each Cortex instance including but not limited to: the version number, the available analyzers and the version of each analyzer.
