Simulate follow recommender to see if it increases or decreases interactions between instances

Take a network, split it into different instances, get a measure of how split up the network is.
Simulate the follow recommender systems individually for each "instance" for X iterations.
Take the new measure of how split up the network is: see if the recommendations have increased connections between instances or not.
