This issue is here to allow for discussion on how upload testing should be handled.

  • needs to be easy for instructors to add testing options
  • needs to be secure
  • needs to work
  • current impl (provide) allows for a script to be passed in, maybe allow upload of one (or more) test scripts?
  • this is mostly a backend issue, but how the instructors interact with this part of the service is critical

The current latest thinking is that we will have Docker containers with several unique setups, and allow for instructors to upload a zip file with an entry script and support scripts which will look for a folder labeled submission.

The design for this will be an interactive(?) terminal that can process a sample submission after the zip file has been uploaded.

Question: how to allow for testing one submission on everyone else's submissions? Will need backend design
