Task summary

  • on a gossamer devnet, there are issues with finality, such as:
  • sometimes, 2 nodes will finalize some block, but the third will not finalize the same block at the same time (there is some delay)
  • sometimes finality will stall due to invalid votes, eg. error="block in vote is not descendant of previously finalised block"
  • determine the cause of these problems and fix them
  • result should be consistent finality on a gossamer devnet
