This project was presented by the City of Atlanta at the Greenspaces Hackathon. The City of Atlanta would like to have all residents live within a half mile of a greenspace by 2022.
Goal: Identify minimum amount of acres and location of future greenspaces required to get all residents within a half mile of a greenspace.
Deliverable: Map with proposed locations
Constraints:
- Minimum green space size: .5 acre
- Max size - 500 acre
- Not considering highways/train tracks
- No Parcel limitations
- Max walking distance - 0.5 from GS border
- No topography
