When I launch moonlight the client monitor switches to a higher refresh rate.

Hi,

My client refresh rate is set to 60Hz, the apollo VM also identifies this and sets itself to 60Hz, but for some reason the client screen refresh rate changes to 120Hz upon opening the VM.

I've cleared the cache of the VM, same result. I'm not quite sure why this is happening.

If it's not an apollo related issue, I apologise.

Solution: My solution has been to remove the refresh rate options using CRU.

Your client system decides that 120 fits better. It's not Apollo's problem, but don't worry, I'm not blaming you 😂

My solution rn, has been to remove the option for other framerates using CRU. That did the trick.
I've been running my head into a wall this weekend with moonlight. I don't know if again this is the right place to ask, but so far you have been the most if only helpful person. I have locked down the latency on the host, removing any judder/jitter spikes, there is plenty of headroom for encoding etc. When I play on the client without vsync in moonlight there is tearing, which is to be expected, but when I enable Vsync, there is judder/stutters every so often. The client reports this as network jitter, but I read online that this might be a wrong readout. I don't know if you have any idea what could cause this?

I've used RTSS s-sync to move the break line, this gets a smooth video for most of the screen but is still a bit wonky. I also can't force vsync from the gpu driver, as I don't have that option with i3 12100.

Usually vsync should be enabled on client side but not server side. For lowest latency there is slight stutters expected so it's not a big deal.

Vsync enabled client side, shows this behaviour. But ok, thanks again, guess I'll have to live with it 👍
