Towards spatially varying canopy parameters:

  • obtain or create map of C3/C4 plants
  • add the map to ClimaArtifacts
  • Extend FarquharParameters to support MECH <:Union{AbstractPhotosynthesisMechanism, ClimaCore.Fields.Field}
  • change tests to use field of mechanisms
  • change land.jl to use the C3/C4 plant map
  • add to NEWS.md and mark as breaking change
