As the School Finder will replace the current tool on the Department's Schools website, it will be located in the same spot. This is so users that come looking for the previous tool will find the School Finder instead.

We are hoping that the School Finder will have a wider audience than previous tools, as research has shown that the current process for locating a local school can be time consuming. The School Finder will drastically reduce the time and energy required for this process.

With a wider and larger audience, the question of accessibility arises. The target users for the School finder are parents- this is a huge target group, with a range of needs and preferences. In order to provide the best user experience possible, it may be best to make the School Finder available in multiple forms, or locations.

This could include android and iOS apps, and linking to the tool from other pages within the Department's portfolio, such as CESE.
