Documentation details

The 8874 motorshield defaults to providing 7.2V power to the Arduino it sits through the Vin pin. Some boards have their own power. One example is the Ethernet Shield V2. (https://store-usa.arduino.cc/products/arduino-ethernet-shield-2). Thee optional POE module (power over ethernet) for that board supplies VIN with 12v. The module either needs the module removed or the EX8874 boards set to not drive VIN.
