[Q] Can this be used on OSX #2
Comments
I have some time this weekend so I'll take a look at it along with some other issues. The trouble is that I do no have a Mac. If you are Mac savvy and can provide any help with this it would be much appreciated! :) |
The difficulty with OSX also comes with the fact that the optix denoiser only runs on NVidia GPUs. If you happen to have a Mac with an NVidia GPU (which is pretty rare now) then thats great, but otherwise there isn't much I can do on my end to support you :/ |
Thanks for answering, no my macbook i currently have doesnt have an proper GPU. Im using a render engine and today they stated that they propably are going to use optix. Im wondering then how they are going to solve the issue for none Nvidia computers. |
Thats a good question. Perhaps eGPUs will become a bigger thing in the future? |
The new mac are finally officially supporting eGPU. But it was already possible for a couple years to do it actually. Sadly i dont have the cash at the moment to get such a system. I really need it cause i wrecked my mid 2015 macbook pro cause of extended heat using a render engine to much. Atleast im 95% sure that caused it. |
Hi there,
im wondering if this could be used on OSX as well. As i noticed you talk about .dll only. Is it only limited to Windows machines?
