Hi @bertsky could you provide me with a IIIF Manifest URL form something else than a newspaper? I’d like to expand METS generation to other resources as well. I’m think of using a class for the METS template: https://github.com/karkraeg/iiimets/blob/refractoring/iiimets/res/templates.py

I guess we could use https://iiif.ub.uni-leipzig.de/static/collections/Drucke17/collection.json for the time being?

@karkraeg I apologize – this slipped by me, then I ventured off to other matters. But we still need a converter for the DFG profile for monographs, and feel I should try to contribute.

So yes, I agree it would be best to start with another template for monographs.

But TBH I don't know enough of IIIF to propose anything – it looks like the metadata is fairly free, so mapping to MODS could be difficult, esp. the captions for the structmap divs.

Since I cannot get the METS from the presentation at UB Leipzig, here's an example from our Digitale Sammlungen, featuring both the IIIF and the corresponding METS. And this is one with actual structure (again, just follow download links to METS and IIIF manifest).
