This is just a suggestion, to be able to see all the spools at once. Perhaps just show the spool image with the color and then a tooltip on every spool indicating the name. This way we could see 50 or 100 spools at a glance without going thru the grid pages.

As I said, this is a suggestion. I find the app very interesting and honestly the only one that I could use to catalog my spools, but a quick glance of the colors would be very appreciated.

I am new to Spoolman (just testing the docker) and I was surprised this colour-grid feature was not included.

Other (off-topic) features I am missing, that make me think this software is not for me:

  • Duplicate spools are shown, as multiple lines.
  • If I would want to do book keeping, i would use spreadsheets instead. On this note, import/export are missing.
  • Many spools I buy are refills, so no spool. But the page does not allow entering explicitly 0 (zero) weight to indicate this.
  • Nearly 99% of all filaments is 1.75mm but why is this a text input, and why do we have to enter it every time again when adding kinds of filaments.
