New build scripts in develop don't build on amazon linux 2 #6775

Seems the support for amazon linux 2 was removed and when trying to build you get errors like

  | No package gcc72(B available.
  | No package gcc72-c++(B available.
  | No package libstdc++72(B available.
  | No package python27(B available.
  | No package python27-devel(B available.
  | No package python34(B available.
  | No package python34-devel(B available.
