ESMValTool is equipped with all features needed for efficiently handling high resolution data, namely Iris which comes with Dask.
I would welcome information on experiences with HiRes real use cases, as e.g. ocean modeling with 1/4° or even 1/12° resolution, or 10km global atmospheric simulations.
