Head to public/department/Extras/Classes and copying C20XX.yaml and C20XX_ar.yaml to introduce:
List of student names in your class (i.e., name field)
List of LinkedIn accounts (i.e., linkedin_url field)
List of optional markdown (i.e., markdown field) to show when a user is clicked under LinkedIn information
After doing this, our LinkedIn scraper will introduce fields such as image, title, top_skills, current_position by scraping the LinkedIn profile found in linkedin_url and the page will look like this. Notice that many people in your class may have no top skills specified in their LinkedIn, please advise them to add them in this case, as recommended by LinkedIn.
This Feature Allows:
Knowing the companies where our classmates work, to facilitate cooperation between current employees at a certain company and those of us who are seeking to join.
Easing the ability for employees at a certain company to find and recommend colleagues who are currently unemployed
As more classes, fill this we can produce statistics, add search and more!
Observe
Once you have the Arabic version setup (list of names, links and ChatGPT are enough), it's easy to further use ChatGPT to translate the non-yaml keywords to English. After this, you will take 2-4 minutes to go through all names and make sure that the English translation is correct.
The LinkedIn entries are important so we all know how to reach out to each other when needed. You should already have an excel sheet with the LinkedIn (and resume) of each student in your class incase recruiters ask for that... they eventually will. Manually collecting them should not take long but you can use a form for that as well.
