Workspace - Chat with Concierge- Wrong chat appears after tap on request a chat with Concierge #7188

Action Performed:

  1. Open app and login applausetester+0704sveta@applause.expensifail.com
  2. Tap on> Swrrings> any workspace
  3. Then tap Get assistance
    4.Tap Chat with Concierge

Expected Result:

Correct chat appears after tap on request a chat with Concierge

Actual Result:

Wrong chat appears after tap on request a chat with Concierge

Workaround:

Unknown

Reproduction Steps (on staging and dev):

This isn't happening on production because the Get Assistance UI isn't there, I'm also able to reproduce this on dev:

  1. Tap on profile picture -> Workspace -> Get Assistance in top right
  2. If you are redirected to concierge, select a different chat and do step 1 again
  3. See you are not redirected to Concierge chat every time

This is also reproducible in the other context usage of this redirect on dev/staging/production

  1. Go to settings and tap About
  2. Tap Report a bug
  3. If you are redirected, select a different chat and retry
  4. See you are not redirected to Concierge chat

Confirmed the issue on staging, but I have been unable to reproduce on dev 😕 . I didn't notice any obvious reason for this failure on staging.

There is another issue for Report a bug does not lead to concierge. I would imagine that the root cause is the same.

Good find, looks like the issue mentioned above has more context on it, so going to close this one in favor of that. I've updated the description of that issue to include these testing steps so it can be verified that the fix resolves this case.
