After looking tor text about vmpi in resourcecompiler.dll(Alyx ver.) I found that VMPI2 is seperately installed and not fully intergrated in SDK. Don't know why. |

By the way, I think vmpi is much more important than it was in source 1. All static lighting is baked by ray tracing. Setting higher lightmap resolution is unaffordable for PCs without 32G or higher ram. |

I'm 50/50 on vmpi. On the one hand, having it out there and letting people set up their own compilation farms would make things a ton faster. On the other hand, maybe all the code could/should be made faster. Maybe it's slow because Valve had vmpi and 500 computers so optimizing it wasn't ever a huge requirement. It's 2021 and our computers are 1000x faster than when half-life 2 came out, should map compiles be taking 100x longer? |

Hi all, at the first sorry for my bad english 👎
Me and my dev team knowing about the old VMPI system, and we love it like we love s&box.
We’re searching some information about the capacity of the resourcecompiler.exe to use the vmpi_transfer.exe, we try every old command like “-mpi, -vmpi ect…”.
Did the VMPI is implemented to s&box ? If it is how can we use it ?
We’ve note in the custom command line of builder the “-nompi” command, so we hope it’s implemented ! 🙏
Thanks,
Supraline
