I'd suspect there's some clipping going on when any other player reach the part where the OST kicks in

When a player is respawned by any checkpoint they won't have any weapon equiped from the map, idealy it should detect and add the USP for when the first checkpoint is used.

Regarding no 2. - Weapon addition through checkpoint was a feature added recently with Episodic additions. Before, it was either done manually in mapscript or not at all. Need to refactor these ancient mapscripts to the new checkpoint structure.
