How to minimize the amount of time the splash screen is displayed before the app loads the landing page of the TWA?

Hello,

We are having a very frustrating issue with Google's app review process. The app keeps getting rejected with no useful feedback. The only specific information provided is:

Your app contains content that isn’t compliant with the Broken Functionality policy.
App loads, but not responsive

The app works fine on testers' devices and the pre-launch report has no issues reported. The first time the app was appealed they provided a single screenshot of the splash screen with no further context. Despite repeated attempts to get more info they simply will not or cannot provide it. We customized the splash image to make it very clear the app was loading, in case that was the issue.

For reference, the splash displays for a very short amount of time before the app loads but I was wondering if it's possible to minimize that time further, by changing some configuration file or something?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
