Feature proposal: assign a virtual desktop to a physical monitor

It's a pain working with an external monitor on a laptop and having all your programs move to your laptop monitor when you disconnect your second display.

When disconnecting from the docking station or external monitor I would like the second monitor and all windows from it to flow to the second virtual desktop.
