Hi is it possibble make counter witch CPLD which will count impulse("position") from quadrature encoder and this information read by Raspberry? Frequency of pulsion is max 200kHz.

This functions is required by many machine controller jobs like 3d printers.
It would be great to set / read the counter and to generate an interrupt and maybe set some free output on hitting a preprogrammed position
