I've come across a few examples of elastic-ilm failing to recognize certain indices that need to be rolled over.
Latest example:

Environment red (no disk space) for more than 24hrs.
Disk freed, retention lowered.
Cluster returns green
Elastic-ilm fails to see indices that it previously tried to roll over in the red/yellow state.
As a result, the index continues to grow even as elastic-ilm is running and issuing rollovers for all other indices.

Not sure what is happing with this but I've noticed it occur.
