[Rolling] Rviz2 doesnt display certain pointcloud materials #5

Rviz2 in rolling, thrown errors while trying to display point cloud data.

[rviz2]: No techniques available for material [PointCloudMaterial202FlatSquare]

Issue reference

There's a temporary fix however to this issue:

  • Disable the GLSL 150 resources (not sure though how to do it for now).

Temporary alternative is to source the foxy distro in one terminal and run RVIZ2 in it, and the run the remaining nodes under ROS2 Rolling.

I ran into this issue yesterday, is there any other method to workaround this bug beside source a different ros2 distro? when this bug could be fixed??
