With the hardware release of NPIX-RS485 in REV#2 this repo is no longer maintained. This REV#2 hardware needs the GPIO17 to be set to logical '1' and then the original serial Node-RED node provided by the Node-RED maintainer under https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-node-serialport can be used as immediate replacement. There is no need to maintain the NPIX-RS485 node any more.
