🚧 Composer Diff v2

This thread serves as meta RFC for planned changes in v2 of this library. Feel free to create a feature request and link it to this discussion.

Planned changes

• Dropping PHP < 7.2 7.4 - according to Packagist, most downloads happen on PHP 8.0 and PHP 7.3 is EOL already
• Drop Composer < 2.3 support - It bumps minimum Symfony dependencies to 5.4+ too
• Use Console Hyperlinks (Symfony 4.3+) when running in terminal like Composer 2.3 does

Most of these changes will not affect people running Composer Diff as Composer plugin if it's globally installed or as GitHub Action.

v1 support

v1 will remain maintained to let people who are stuck with PHP 5.x and older Composer versions to still use this library until further notice. Bug fixes will be provided as usual but new features will be added on a best effort basis 🚀 .
