Extreme Lag on Sky Vaults

The Bug
I have a good PC, with as much ram allocated as possible (roughly 16GB), but when playing Sky Vaults everything runs fine until I try to enter the vault, at which point the game freezes. Does not happen in any other singleplayer or multiplayer worlds, only ones running Sky Vaults

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open minecraft running vault hunters and make a new world
2. Choose world type Sky Vaults, nothing else matters, and create world
3. Go through the tutorial and try to enter the vault after obtaining a crystal.

Expected behavior
Game should freeze entirely, or at least give massive lag.
