OS: Fedora 39+
Issue:

Celluloid or MPV do not recognize SWIPES while playing videos. It would be cool to have range/speed related SWIPE-2-CURSORKEY feature.

Describe the solution you'd like

If we can use 1-Finger Swipes for named apps, we could send CURSOR-LEFT/RIGHT keys to skip forward/reverse.

Describe alternatives you've considered

none.

Many apps and the desktop itself (GNOME, KDE,...) use 1 finger swipes for certain actions.
In general, overriding 1 finger swipes, would cause a worst user experience. My recommendation would be to use 2 or more fingers or ask the Celluloid/MVP developers to add support for touch screens.
