Since many tags are not listed on the sidebar, I’ve always wanted to have a page where I can see all categories & tags I’ve used for the posts. And visitor may click on it to navigate related posts. To implement tag list, you only need to create two files to have a such page.

Could you please state under what standalone requirements "you only need to create tags.m and _layouts/tags.html" is true ? Apparently it ties in with _featured_tags_ and _featured_categories_, each inside _layouts Also, type is confusing. Here are my implementations of tags.html, tags.md, and a post using that feature.

Hello @erwannr, I can see that you are trying to implement the feature to the other Jekyll theme. Please forgive me as I'm not the expert on the web programming so I might not able to provide full assist on the matter.

However, I noticed that your repo doesn't provide below part:

so make sure you’ve added property to the *.md files in /featured_categories & /featured_tags. (They are NOT there by default! I’ve created new property for this.)

You must provide *.md file for each category/tag you want to use.

The example would be _featured_categories/devlog.md & _featured_tags/blog.md.
In each of the *.md file, you will see front matter item named type. The value can be either category or tag.

This *.md file with type front matter is used in here

{% assign featured_categories = documents | where: "type", "category" | sort %}
{% assign featured_tags = documents | where: "type", "tag" | sort %}

to parse categories & tags that blog has.

Of course this might not be the best or easiest way to provide such information. But it's what I came up with.
