Adding images into specific cells

Hello. I know there's a SpreadsheetAddImage functionality within the extension, but it doesn't correspond to our requirements, because it adds floating images with our spreadsheet. These images obviously do not follow upon sorting or filtering columns, etc. Plus it's a pain to make them fit...

In short, we have a list of students, one per row, and the first column of the row should be the student's profile thumbnail picture. We also need to be able to sort/filter out the rows.

Excel apparently now has a mean of doing with with the IMAGE function found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/image-function-7e112975-5e52-4f2a-b9da-1d913d51f5d5?ns=excel&version=90&ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us

Is there any we can do this with the lucee cfspreadsheet extension? Could this functionality be implemented in the extension perhaps ?
