We elicited the form of the noun 'water' in the context ‘There are a lot of fish in the water’. The map shows the variation in the oblique stem of the noun. The attested variants include: *xid-* / *šid-* (Ikhrek, Khnov, Rutul, Kufa and Kiche), *xi-* (Shinaz and partly Kala), and *xij-* (elsewhere).
