Intermittently, on macOS, the plugin appears to:

  1. Cause the entire O. window to become blank.
  2. Cause "Obsidian Helper (Renderer)" process to use >100 % CPU, and freezes Obsidian, forcing one to perform a force quit.

On iOS:

  1. When "Don't open folder notes by clicking on the name (on mobile)" is ON:
  • Folder note still opens when clicking on folder name.
  • And "Hide folder note" is ON - folder notes are not hidden.
  1. "Only open folder notes through the name" is ON - folder notes still open by pressing anywhere, not just the name.

Obsidian ver. 1.7.7
"Folder notes" ver. 1.7.32

While I very much wanted to incorporate this plugin into my workflow, it creates more problems than it solves. Given the multitude of issues I encountered, providing a detailed bug report about each one would take too much time.

It's a shame there don't seem to be any other plugins with a similar feature set.

I can't reproduce the bugs you described you've on macOS but I'll look into the iOS bugs. Could you try to reproduce the bugs you've on macOS and try if it also works in the sandbox vault? Thanks that would be great

Thank you for the response. While I can't claim definitively that the macOS issues were caused by the plugin, I only experienced them while using it, and not before or after I used it. I will try to reproduce them if I ever revisit this plugin (perhaps if bugs I encountered on iOS get squashed) but I'm not ready to do so now.
