Reminder issue to add backwards AR 1.0 compatibility.
(Depending on demand this may or may not be implemented.)

If we implement, we would "only" add it for the following resolvers:

  • FileResolver
  • CachedResolver

To be discussed how to best add this without "fracturing" the code base with ifelses'.
(We could add on build patching of code or keep it on a branch.)
