Metabolomics GeneID User Guide

  • In figure 2, I know it was described where the process for the gene id conversion tool was, but maybe just highlighting the image for that process as well. - Nasheath

  • I think just one additional thing can be added is potentially adding the resources/pages where the different identifiers may be used as background info like how the hyperlinked tutorial has. - Nasheath

  • I think for the output, such as for the Alias terms for AIM1, having a clear way to determine that all those aliases came from that specific gene symbol since it may get hard to understand if we were to input a larger number of genes in the gene set. - Nasheath

  • On the UI version from the original source, I did see there were options for species and different identifiers, but I didn’t really see the defaults mentioned on the UI of the playbook workflow builder. Maybe that would be a good addition if the user checks out the original UI for the tool and sees that. - Nasheath

Thanks, @u8sand. Fixed Fig. 2 locally, how can I push or can send by slack. Others are very good suggestion and require adding pull-down menu or ability to type the GeneIDType and species. URL can be added in the output view/rendering, task for the several weeks.

Feel free to make a PR onto the docs page, you might even be able to do it straight on the github site.
