dragvisuals

Plugin for dragging visual selection by Damian Conway. Have a look at his YouTube presentation or at this link.

You can drag and duplicate visual selection using this plugin, which is useful at times and is better than copying and pasting. Put these following mappings in your .vimrc--

vmap <expr> <S-LEFT>  DVB_Drag('left')
vmap <expr> <S-RIGHT> DVB_Drag('right')
vmap <expr> <S-DOWN>  DVB_Drag('down')
vmap <expr> <S-UP>    DVB_Drag('up')
vmap <expr> D         DVB_Duplicate()

You can, of course, change this mapping at your will. Also add the following to your .vimrc to remove any introduced trailing whitespace after moving visual blocks/lines --

let g:DVB_TrimWS = 1

Using Vundle

1. Add Plugin 'MahbubAlam231/dragvisuals to your .vimrc
2. Run PluginInstall
