3: do we want to keep "sample component synthesis" and "sample preparation" conceptually separated? Are they two different steps or synthesis is part of the sample preparation? This will clarify how to formulate the competence question

I would say they are two separated steps. A competence question could be instead
What sample components are used during the sample preparation?

3. "Sample component synthesis" is a term that is not used in any materials science literature. Is there some different terminology for that?

I am not aware of any commonly used definition for that process. As we discussed in the weekly meeting, Synthesis could also replaced by Production, Manufacturing or less likely Creation. Component could also in principle be replaced by some other synonym.

Sure, that would be a good idea and could be showed in the paper as well. But, i think we will keep these all questions in the repository along with SPARQL queries...
