info:  change this behavior so when you click on the app with multiple windows open, it will open the last opened window instantly. And if you want to choose a different window, you can hover over the icon and thumbnails will show up to choose a different window.

move to the following location.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

While Advanced entry is selected, right-click on the white space in the right panel and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Name this new entry as “LastActiveClick” and then double-click on it and set its value to 1.

Restart Explorer
